Dubai above the skyline: desert evenings, rooftops and the sea

Burj Khalifa rises 828 metres and opened on 4 January 2010, and its height was confirmed by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. It is the city's emblem, and only the first of its views.

The cooler months

Dubai is most comfortable from roughly November to March. Summers are very hot, and life moves indoors and into the evening. Planning around the season changes what the city offers.

Desert and sea

Beyond the towers, an evening in the desert under the stars, a private dinner and a yacht day on the Gulf show a different Dubai. Each is arranged personally, with attention to the hour as much as the place.

Above it all

A rooftop table high above the skyline, or a helicopter flight at dusk where regulations permit, shows the scale of the city. KURA arranges these through trusted partners and confirms every detail personally.

How long to stay

Three to five nights is the usual length for Dubai: enough for the skyline, a desert evening and a day on the water. Many guests combine it with another destination on a longer journey.

Who it suits

Dubai suits guests who enjoy comfort, scale and service, and who like to arrive and find everything arranged. It is a city of hotels and restaurants of a high standard, and of experiences that can be arranged at short notice.
